The Bills are the hottest team in the league right now

The Buffalo Bills are for real!

The Bills were back at home riding a three-game winning streak. They were up against the 49ers with Colin Kaepernick making his first start this season. The 49ers struck first with a 33-yard field goal by Phil Dawson to take a 3-0 lead. Late in the first quarter, Bills running back LeSean McCoy scored on a 4-yard TD run to give the team a 7-3 lead.

The 49ers started the second quarter with a 53-yard touchdown pass by Kaepernick to wide receiver Torrey Smith, to take a 10-7 lead. Buffalo came right back and marched down the field. LeSean McCoy scored his second touchdown of the game with a direct snap to take a 14-10 lead. The 49ers would answer back and score on their third straight possession with a field goal to make the score 14-13. Buffalo scored another field goal to make the score 17-13 at the half.

The third quarter had a number of punts and defensive stops. Neither team could come up with much offense. Late in the third quarter quarterback, Tyrod Taylor, threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Justin Hunter to take a 24-13 lead. This is the second straight week Hunter has caught a TD. For deeper fantasy leagues, he could be worth a look to add some depth.

The 49ers started the 4th quarter with a field goal to make the game 24-16. The Bills answered back by scoring on an 18-yard touchdown run by LeSean McCoy, his third of the day. That score gave the Bills a 31-16 lead. The 49ers fumbled the ball on the kickoff on a hit by Nickell Robey-Coleman and Buffalo recovered. The Bills capitalized by scoring on a 5-yard TD pass to Robert Woods to make the score 38-16.

With the game well in hand with about 6 minutes left, the Bills brought in backup QB E.J. Manuel. Backup running back Mike Gillislee put the final nail in the coffin with a 44-yard TD run to make the game 45-16.

The Bills are the hottest team in the league right now. With this win, the Bills should crack the top 10 of the power rankings. LeSean McCoy is back to his MVP caliber form from a couple years ago. Tyrod Taylor makes enough plays to keep the defense honest. The Bills defense has been playing well and will get help with Marcell Dareus coming back and possibly 1st round pick Shaq Lawson in the near future.

This is shaping up to be a great first half of the season for the Bills!
