It’s not a shock that six of the seven players (there was a four-way tie for the last spot) were defensive players. The only offensive player on the list was Jack Conklin the offensive tackle from Michigan State. Conklin was picked by the Bills in 7 of the 64 drafts which was the second most often out of any player.

The player selected to the Bills the most was Robert Nkemdiche the defensive tackle from Ole Miss. He was picked by Buffalo in 12 of the 64 mock drafts. Nkemdiche probably falls to the Bills in most drafts because people believe the organization has shown a willingness to take a chance on a guy who has raised some red flags in the past. He famously fell 15 feet out of a window at a Grand Hyatt hotel in Atlanta while drunk. Marijuana was also found in his room after the incident although he denies it was his.

Some scouts believe that Nkemdiche has thrived off of his natural talent and not necessarily because he is a hard worker. Considering the Bills just cut Mario Williams, a player you could make a similar argument about, you’d hope that they already learned their lesson about staying away from these types of players.

Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee, finished with the third-most selections. He was picked to go to the Bills in 6 of the 64 mock drafts. Lee is a bit undersized at 6’1″ and 232 pounds but that didn’t stop him from being a highly productive college player. Only time will tell if his frame can hold up in the NFL.

There were two defensive ends and two defensive tackles that tied for fourth place on the list. They were all selected to go to the Bills in 4 of the 64 mock drafts. The two defensive tackles were Jarran Reed from Alabama and Sheldon Rankins from Louisville.

The defensive ends were Emmanuel Ogbah from Oklahoma State and Kevin Dodd from Clemson. We all know about Rex Ryan’s love affair with Clemson since his son goes there so don’t be surprised if that’s who Ryan favors.

These are the most common picks for the Buffalo Bills mock drafts that were analyzed. What do you think? Which one of these players do you want the Bills to choose at number 19 in the draft?
