Buffalo Bills Injury Updates Ahead Of Training Camp – 247Sports

"Every season comes with a fresh start, a shot at redemption, an opportunity to improve, and a chance to hoist the legendary Lombardi Trophy when the season is all said and done. While every team is eager to do just that, injuries, which are inevitable, can create a major setback causing what could have been a championship year into a well there is always next year mentality. So while every Bills fan, player, and coach wants to see a healthy team, it is hard to imagine that actually happening and with training camp just around the corner, July 31st, the injury bug is already in well-working motion on the Buffalo Bills. In 2014, former LB Kiko Alonso, and former RB CJ Spiller, were two of the big injuries on the team. In addition to players like OL Chris Williams, DB Leodis McKelvin, WR Sammy Watkins, and DB Da’Norris Searcy who all had several injuries throughout the season. The Bills even added injury-prone WR Percy Harvin to the squad, who has had a history of injuries along with former Dolphins TE Charles Clay who had knee problems all last year. So without further delay, here is the inside scoop on five of the Bills injured players."

Buffalo Bills receiver Marquise Goodwin competing in long jump at Pan Am Games: ‘I’m a track guy

"As a National Football League player entering the final few days of a precious off-season, Marquise Goodwin could have been on an island somewhere, on a beach.“He could be anywhere,” said Kyle Clemons, a long-time friend. On Monday, Goodwin, a receiver with the Buffalo Bills, was standing near a security tent in northern Toronto, just a few yards and a few hours from where he will be competing in long jump at the Pan American Games. The qualification rounds are on Tuesday, with the final scheduled for Wednesday night."

Bills‘ Powell may have (finally) found a permanent position

"A simple question takes Ty Powell by surprise. He has never been asked this before. What kind of linebacker is he? Powell has changed positions so much – he’s played six in six years – he’s not quite sure himself. Powell does know his “ability to adapt” is why he’s entering training camp with a chance to contribute in the Buffalo Bills’ defense.“I’ve proven that through all my years in football and all my years in the league,” Powell said. “I can be put in any situation possible, whether that’s being on the field for three downs or I could pass rush if they need someone to pass rush. I could cover. I could tackle the ball. I could bring a lot to the defense.”"

Undrafted LB A.J. Tarpley has decent shot to make Bills‘ 53-man roster | FOX Sports

"The Buffalo Bills had a budding star at linebacker in Kiko Alonso before shipping him to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for LeSean McCoy. Without Alonso in the fold, the Bills have a hole at linebacker that they’ll need to fill by way of a couple late-round and undrafted players. A.J. Tarpley is among a group of players battling for a roster spot, and according to ESPN’s Mike Rodak, Tarpley has a “legitimate chance to make the 53-man roster.”“After Nigel Bradham, Preston Brown and Ty Powell, who rounds out the Bills’ depth chart at off the line linebacker?” Rodak shttps://buffalowdown.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpaid. “It’s a battle that will come down to Tarpley, sixth-round pick Tony Steward and 2014 undrafted free agent Jimmy Gaines.”"

Buffalo Bills could be last chance for Percy Harvin

"Everyone is looking at the Buffalo Bills’ acquisition of running back LeSean McCoy as the biggest pickup of the offseason and there is good reason for that. He is a dynamic running back who can be a threat both carrying and catching the ball, but he is coming off of a somewhat disappointing season. There is another offensive addition who could be in for a big season and that is wide receiver Percy Harvin.Harvin is on his third team in two years due to his contract size and some reports of him not being the easiest to get along with. In Seattle there were a number of reports that came out saying the Harvin got into altercations with teammates and even took himself out of games. Harvin didn’t even get into many games as he only played in six games in his year and a half for the Seahawks. There weren’t as many issues when he was in New York, but he was only there for half a season. Buffalo gave themselves an out with the contract they signed Harvin to."
