The Buffalo Bills are not picking until the 2nd Day of the draft, on Friday, and will have the 50th and 81st overall picks that will occur on that day.  With the draft only a couple of days away, we are finishing up our breakdown on possible draft picks for the Buffalo Bills at the 50th overall pick.

The first cornerback that we will take a look at, we it is technically the second as I already took a look at P.J. Williams, who I think might be the best fit in my Buffalo Bills Options At 50th Overall post.  So we move on to the next cornerback that is available, Quinten Rollins out of Miami of Ohio.

Quinten Rollins is a 4 year basketball player in college.  He had a year of eligibility left and decided to make a go at football again, hadn’t played since high school.  In 2014, he was invited to the senior bowl and was named the MAC defensive player of the year.  He came away with 7 interceptions with 1 as a pick 6 as well.

Some strengths and weaknesses for Quinten Rollins are…

"Four-year basketball player. Seamless transition to football field as a cornerback. Has point guard’s foot quickness and hip fluidity. Plays with balance and above-average play strength. Well-built and competitive. Can be a disruptive press-corner. Has NFL-caliber “click-and-close” ability. Good leaper. Attacks the ball and receiver at high point. Good instincts and overlaps to make plays beyond his territory. Ruined hitches and bubble screens his way. Physical and has a strong desire to tackle. Wraps up receivers and throws his body at running backs in open space. Likely lacks the necessary experience to come in and help right away. Too reliant upon foot quickness. Needs technique work. Outside-in releases get him turned around. Shows gambler tendencies. Always sniffing around on underneath throws and opens himself up to double moves. Will get caught lunging in press coverage. – NFL.com"

Rollins is not as quick as some would like and see him as a higher round safety than that as a corner.  He is being projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round.  If he goes as high as 2nd you can bet that it is a team with a safety need.  He is being compared to Perrish Cox.

The bottom line on Quinten Rollins is…

"Rare start-stop-start suddenness. His ability to change gears instantly gives him a chance to develop into a talented cover cornerback. With more work on technique and overall discipline, Rollins has the physical tools to become a very good NFL starter. – NFL.com"

With Rex Ryan loving his corners, this guy could be an option for the Buffalo Bills as he could be there in the 2nd round, and if the Bills and Rex take him, look for him to get work at the safety position.  He may also be there, later on in the 3rd as well as a steal at safety or and leap at corner.  JUst depends on how you look at him.
