Andre Johnson has been given the go ahead to begin to look for a trade partner for the Houston Texans and himself.  Without that, the Houston Texans are just about set release the 12 year veteran.

Andre Johnson feels that he is still a starter in this league and is not happy about taking a reduced role from where he has been for the past 12 years.  Johnson is set to make 10.5 million this year as a base salary, and for that kind of money, I can see why, the Texans are looking at trading Johnson, and if not releasing him all together.  With a reduced role, Johnson would most likely be in for reducing that 10.5 million dollar salary that he is set to make this year and that might not go over too well.

"“I don’t know how you tell a guy who catches 85 balls that he’ll only probably catch 40,” Johnson said. “I feel like the role they were trying to put me in I’d be held back from maximizing my talents. I feel like that was the best thing for both sides.”“I don’t see why I wouldn’t be a starter in this league,” Johnson said. “It didn’t make sense to me. I’m pretty sure it won’t make sense to a lot of other people.”– PFT.com"

The Buffalo Bills are sitting with a younger wide receiver corps that could use a dominant veteran to help pave the way for them.  With Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods the front runners as far as starters are concerned for the receivers, there is also Chris Hogan, Marquise Goodwin and Marcus Easley available as well as receivers.

Adding Andre Johnson would instantly improve the offensive power on this team.  I think even EJ Manuel could get the ball to Johnson to make a play or two.

Andre Johnson is looking at ending his career in Houston with just over 1000 receptions, 13,597 yards, 64 touchdowns and 7 pro bowls.  At 34, Johnson is getting up there in age, but is still able to produce on the field and could possibly be considered a nice acquisition to the Buffalo Bills.

Andre Johnson does have a couple of issues regarding injuries in his past but he has still been able to produce throughout the years.  Andre Johnson is a proven receiver that can improve any offense.  He will immediately make the field longer for any team, why not the Buffalo Bills.
