The Buffalo Bills don’t have a draft pick in the first round as they traded it away to the Cleveland Browns so that Sammy Watkins could be in the red, white, and blue.

The Buffalo Bills would have been picking in the 19th overall spot, had they kept their pick and drafted someone other than Sammy Watkins.

Was trading up to get Sammy Watkins a good move? I think that it is too early to tell at this point.  Watkins did have a franchise year for the Bills as a rookie and will continue to grow into his position and possibly a leader for this team, they just need a quarterback to get him the ball, and an offensive scheme that his not afraid to throw the ball either.

So looking at whether or not is was a good choice to move up because of other rookie wide receivers have better numbers is tough to do, because each team had different needs over the course of the year.  Would Odell Beckham Jr had the year that he had if Victor Cruz stays healthy? Probably not.  So other things have to be taken into account.

What we can do is take a look at some of the possible players that will be available come the 19th overall pick and who Buffalo will be missing out on.

At the 19th pick, the Cleveland Browns are projected to take with Sayre’s take on it…

. Defensive Tackle. Washington. Danny Shelton. 19. player. 53

"The Browns were terrible at stopping the run in 2014, so getting a stud like Danny Shelton on the defensive interior is phenomenal for them at this point, especially having already bolstered the offensive line. Shelton was part of one of the best defensive front sevens in the nation this past year.– NFL Mocks"

With the 20th pick, the Philadelphia Eagles select…

"The Eagles need help at cornerback, plain and simple. They’ve been awful defending the pass especially from the cornerback position, so getting arguably the best corner in this draft here is solid for Philly.– NFL Mocks"

With the 21st pick, the Cincinnati Bengals select…

"The Bengals’ pass rush was terrible this past season in terms of actually getting sacks. Dupree emerged as a star this past season for Kentucky and would be a really nice fit for Cincinnati at this point in the first round."

Would any of these players help the Buffalo Bills?  Possible the Trae Waynes or even Alvin Dupree, depending on whether Jerry Hughes returns or not.  The Bills truly need interior lineman to help their offensive line out, but for the amount of help that the Bills need at this point, it would be in their best interest to spend some money and sign a free agent that has some years under them.
