The Buffalo Bills took the field in Denver yesterday, with a mission in mind and a win needed to continue their run towards the playoffs.  The Buffalo Bills didn’t win yesterday and there are some questions that need to be answered for the Doug Marrone and the offense.  The defense did what they could and limited the offense to only 24 points and also had Peyton Manning throw a couple of interceptions as well.

The Buffalo Bills were not successful in the outcome of the game against the Broncos, but they were successful in another aspect of the game.  No they didn’t sack Manning for a huge number.  But the defense was able to do something that no other team has been able to do since November 14th, 2010 when Peyton Manning and the Colts played and beat the Cincinnati Bengals.  Manning’s By-Line looked like this: 20 of 36 for 185 yards.  That was it.  No touchdowns.

Since then Manning went on for 51 games, after his neck surgery and being cut from the Colts and signing on with the Broncos as well as losing a Super Bowl.  He had thrown a touchdown pass in the past 51 consecutive games, until he played the Buffalo Bills on December 7th, 2014.  Manning’s By-Line looked similar to his meeting against the Bengals 14 of 20 with 173 yards passing.

The Bills broke the Manning touchdown streak, which he will probably start again next week.  I hope so because when Demaryius Thomas only brings in 1 point on my Fantasy team, it is a bit concerning.  But either way.  There are some positives to bring out of the loss on Sunday and shouldn’t be completely thrown to the wind with all negatives.  The Bills defense has been able to keep them in games from the lowly Jets to the mighty Broncos.

Does EJ Manuel now get his chance to start a streak of his own for the Bills?
