More from Bills History

The Buffalo Bills head into week 5 with a 2-2 record and tied for the lead in the AFC East with the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins.  They look to take on the Detroit Lions, at Ford Field, this weekend and break a 2 game losing streak.  Kyle Orton has been named the starter for this game, mainly due to the dismal play of second year man EJ Manuel.  Here is a full preview of the game this weekend.  [ESPN]

Injuries are still a minor issue for the Bills currently, through Thursdays practice.  Kyle Williams and Nigel Bradham are still out with knee injuries.  If they can’t go, Stefan Charles and Corbin Bryant will be used for Williams, and Preston Brown will continue to see a lot of action in his rookie year for Bradham.  [ESPN]

The Buffalo Bills were the favorites the past two weeks to beat both the San Diego Chargers as well as the Houston Texans.  This week, however, the Bills are the underdogs and being given 7 points on the spread.  Percentage that the Detroit Lions beat the Bills is just under 70%.  What say you? Not that Bills fans need anymore proof that Terry and Kim Pegula buying the Bills is the perfect situation for the Bills, and the fans, former GM of the Buffalo Bills, back in the prime, Super Bowl days, Bill Polian agrees that the Pegula’s buying the Bills is the perfect fit for both the city, team, and fans. Jim Schwartz brought to Buffalo a defense that has made a 50 yard swing in run defense production.  The Bills are the 3rd ranked defense over the first month only allowing 71.5 yards per game, drastically down from 128.9 from last year.  The Defense is also only allow 2.9 yards per carry.  2nd in the NFL only to the Super Bowl Champions Seattle Seahawks, 2.8.  Keep it up D!
