Happy Thursday Everyone!  The weekend is almost here and the excitement builds to see what Kyle Orton brings to the field.  Here are you daily links for the Buffalo Bills.

More from Bills History

We are a quarter of the way through the season. 4 games in and to be honest, we are sitting at 2-2 ties with the New England Patriots for first in the league.  The Jets are sitting at 1-3 in the basement where they should be and the Dolphins are also at 2-2 but we hold the advantage on them right now.  How would you grade the Bills up to this point? Would you take where the Bills are at right now, if someone asked you after 4 games the Bills would be 2-2 but ties for first? [Syracuse.com]

The Buffalo Bills face off against the Detroit Lions this week.  Story line match ups to watch this week will be the passing game and the running game.  The Bills are towards the bottom in defending the pass while the Lions are in  the top 10 passing the ball.  The Bills are also a top run defending team, 3rd overall, while the Lions struggle to run the ball.  Could create a one-dimensional game for the Bills defense, which could work in their favor.  The Lions have a strong passing defense, ranked second and a solid run defense ranked 6th overall.  Their defense is ranked 1st overall, so it could poise a problem for the Bills and their inconsistent offense.  Suggestion: Run with what is working and don’t change it.  [Pride of Detroit]

The play between the center and the quarterback is extremely important if an offense wants to get started.  Without a good connection there, most likely all is lost.  Kyle Orton and center Eric Wood, have already hit it off and are good friends.  They have taken some reps in practice but this week will be a different story with Orton taking over the helm at quarterback. The Buffalo Bills, by some, are a lost cause and will stay in their playoff drought for a couple more years.  On the other hand, Super Bowl Champion quarterback Trent Dilfer has a different view on the Bills.  He pegged Manuel as a 3rd or 4th round pick, never has high as a 1st and he worked with Manuel before the draft.  He also thinks that the Bills are a good choice to win the AFC East division with Kyle Orton at the helm. DO you agree? [Sports Media 101]
