Buffalo Bills Circling The Wagons: Sammy Watkins, Doug Marrone

Happy Monday Everyone! Here are your daily links for the Buffalo Bills.

Sammy Watkins suffered a rib injury in the early parts of the Pittsburgh Steelers game.  He never returned and also sat out of Monday’s practice.  Watkins was seen back at practice and was ready to go.  He said that he was ready to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but Doug Marrone had another message for the 4th overall pick. [ESPN]

Doug Marrone was not shy about stating the Bills are thin at the quarterback position.  With minimal experience behind EJ Manuel and limited experience with Manuel, a veteran QB is needed to be there just in case.  Matt Schaub might just be available for that has he is not working out in Oakland.  [FanSided]

Not too big of a surprise here.  We reported it as well.  Alan Branch was caught drunk driving over the weekend. With that plus very little action seen during the preseason and basically being shown up by the other DTs, Alan Branch’s time was limited.  Shortly after news spread of his DWI, Branch was cut by the Bills.  The Bills are slowly moving towards their 75-man mark that needs to be done by 4 pm tomorrow.  []

With Fantasy Football going strong right now, fantasy opinions are out there.  With many leagues needing to go deep and find those sleepers, one person to consider might be Bryce Brown.  In the action that he has seen so far, he might not be a bad choice for a bye week sub as a RB2 or even a flex position.  [Rant Sports]
