Breaking News: Buffalo Bills Cut Roster to 75

The Buffalo Bills, along with the rest of the NFL had until Tuesday at 4PM to get their rosters down to 75 players.  The NFL also needs to have their final 53-man roster down by Saturday August 30th at noon.

The Bills were not waiting until Tuesday at 4 to give 11 players the bad news.  They could have waited until the last minute to break the news, but stress levels and anxiety levels don’t need to be put to that level.  I think it is better to do it earlier than later especially if the coaches know who those players are and these players aren’t on the bubble and one more practice won’t make much of a difference.

The Buffalo Bills have released 11 players to get their roster down to the maximum number of 75.

The players released were as follows:

S Derek Brimm

QB Dennis Dixon

P Jake Dombrowski

WR Tori Gurley

S Jajuan Harley

K Dustin Hopkins

DT Damien Jacobs

OL Macky MacPherson

WR Chris Summers

OL J.J. ‘Unga

RB Ronnie Wingo

Other players that were recently cut were DT Alan Branch after being pulled over for drunken driving on Saturday morning.  Also, LB Stevenson Sylvester was placed on season ending injury reserve, which also vacated a spot on the roster.
