Alan Branch is already on the bubble for this team and has not seen a lot of action in the preseason either.  It has been said that he looks sluggish and just not where he should be physically on the field.  Branch was extended last December with an offer from the Bills.  Since then, Branch has taken the money and ran.

Alan Branch was arrested Saturday morning at 2 am in Cheektowaga on drunk driving while intoxicated.  Cheektowaga police saw Branch pulled to the side of the road puking out of the driver side. When given a sobriety test, Branch failed.  He was taken in a charged with drunken driving.  He blew a .14% blood alcohol content.  The legal limit is .08%.  Branch was released and is due back in court on August 29th, 2014, 3 days after the first round of roster cuts and 1 day before the final 53-man roster cuts.

When Branch returns to court on the 29th, will he still be a Bill?

The first round of roster cuts will bring the rosters down to 75 and are due by 4 pm on Tuesday the 26th.  The final round to the 53-ma roster is due by noon on August 30th.  The NFL has also decided to expand the practice squads to 10 players so the final rosters with practice squads will be at 63 players.

UPDATE: Alan Branch has been released from the Bills.  August 24th, 2014 – 3:00 PM.
