Bryce Brown is a running back who was traded to the Buffalo Bills in the midst of the 2014 NFL Draft from the Philadelphia Eagles. Brown has good size for a back standing at 6-foot tall and weighing 220 pounds and his best asset is clearly his speed as he can hit the holes seemingly instantly and has an excellent jump cut move that will make defenders miss.
While Bryce Brown won’t likely unseat running backs C.J. Spiller or Fred Jackson this season as the co-starters; however he likely to get his fair share of touches due to this no matter if it is on the ground or through the air and will have plays designed for him. This would result in a downright scary three headed monster of a running attack. If the Bills have their running game going like a well oiled machine, this will only open up the passing attack more as defenses will be fatigued more from being pounded on consistently. Also if teams are thinking the Bills are going to be a run heavy offense they will have to line up eight or nine guys in the box thus enabling someone like Sammy Watkins to draw single coverage and enable E.J. Manuel to go over the the top with him with a great deal of success.
If Bryce Brown can control his ball security issues and can consistently get down hill instead of turning out of bounds like he did for the Eagles, the Bills might have ripped off the Eagles blindly and will have their running back of the future as he is only 23 years old.
All and all, what do you think of Bryce Brown? How can the Bills use him to get the max out of him? Let me know by leaving a comment below so we can discuss it more, but also like this and share this with your friends.
