NFL News: The Summer Bills Fan

It’s July and the dog days of summer are upon us NFL News is slow, but if you are a Buffalo Bills fan things are just quiet. But, for me I can’t help but notice that Bills fans seem to take the first half of July off, and take a step off the bandwagon.

There really is a lot to be hopeful for if you are a Bills fan, and there is also a lot to be worries about. But, none of that is within our control. The Bills will open training camp in a few weeks, and until than most Bills fans will turn a deaf ear to anything other than ownership news, and that fine. It’s your right to do that, and I don’t blame you. For most of the year we hear how bad our team is and how our beloved Bills are not an NFL team; it gets hard to keep plugged in.

The Bills have not been a strong franchise, in fact other than a four season run the Bills NFL experience has not gone well at all. However, that is something Bills fans can hang their hat on. You have watched this team go through the dog days, and success. You have been there every step of the way. But still once summer comes around Bills fans seem to take a break. Our local Sports talk station seems to relax and scramble for content, NFL site scramble for content and often just toss random stuff out to the masses. It no wonder that Bills fans talk July off.

With all that being said, you are all the best fans the NFL has to offer, and despite how the league may feel about Buffalo it is the fans that keep filling the Ralph, it is you that keeps proving all the Dallas’s of the world that Buffalo for its size can go blow for blow with the big boys if the NFL. So, as you sip your cold drinks and fire up your BBQ; we salute you.
