Marcell Dareus went to court yesterday for his drag racing bit in Hamburg, NY at the end of May. The Judge on hand, determined that Dareus would be back for a non-jury trial on September 9th, two days after the Bills open up on the road against the Chicago Bears. It was also mentioned that Dareus and his lawyer were offered a plea deal but they declined the offer. [FanSided]
Kiko Alonso made the news yesterday as well, but not in a good way. His rookie season was a bright light for the Bills defense with 159 tackles. Alonso injured his knee while working out in Oregon. The initial reports for his knee is not good. It is believed that he has a torn ACL and his season is now in jeopardy. The Bills did upgrade their depth this year in free agency for the LB position so the have a little wiggle room but this if Alonso is gone for the season it will be a noticeable difference. [NFL.com]
