Marcell Dareus: Inching Towards Ignorance

Yesterday the Buffalo Bills, and Marcell Dareus were back in the news, and not less than a month ago Dareus has brought more negative attention to the Bills. It seems to me he is either unable to change, or he is just ignorant.

There has been some debate over what the Bills should do with Dareus; I think he needs to be cut. No one can dispute he has talent, but talent alone gets you a pay check; talent alone gets you a ticket to Hawaii, but it does not make you a good person, or a player I want on the Bills. Talent does not give you the right to run around the country breaking the law and expecting nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

The state or fact of being ignorant :  lack of knowledge, education, or awareness

Dareus needs to rethink how he spends his off time. At 24 years-old and $3.124 million a year he can no longer blame this on being to young. This behavior has become a habit, one that the NFL and the Bills are only reenforcing if they do not suspend or cut him. It was only three weeks ago I wrote an article on Dareus, and could the Bills draft his replacement. Now it seem they may have no choice.

Let me be clear, I want nothing more than to see the Buffalo Bills win, and Dareus could help with that, but I’ve had enough. It is time for the Bills to move on. More than likely Buffalo will be without his services for a while anyhow. Dareus will be a free agent in 2016, but I seriously doubt he will be under contract with the Bills for much longer.

It is worth noting that none of the criminals that Marrone has brought in has caused any trouble yet. I thought for sure Williams, Henderson or Alonso would have done something first.

It’s obvious Marcell is becoming less interested in doing what’s best for his team and becoming a Trouble maker. To say you’re not a trouble guy after a second arrest and racing with another teammate is simply ignorant. He has now hurt his team because he will be suspended for one or both of these incidents. Great job Dareus. We really appreciate you messing up – AGAIN.

Time to bring in a vet like free agent Kevin Williams, tell Marcell he is on his last chance, maybe Williams can act as a mentor and a replacement if Marcell acts up again.
