Donald Trump has been one of the names surrounding the impending sale of the Buffalo Bills.
There has been mixed emotions for the Donald Trump and the Buffalo Bills. Some think that Trump will be a great owner for the Bills and with the financial backing and friendship with Jim Kelly, the the Bills will stay in Buffalo with The Donald at the helm. Others are worried that Trump will take the Bills and use the financial black-hole, that could occur, as a way to jump ship and move the Bills or sell them to someone that would.
Donald Trump has come out and stated that he would be willing to put some of his own money down for a new stadium with an interview with the Buffalo News.
“There are a couple of sites in Buffalo that would be very good,” he said during the interview. “We’ve looked at two of them, and we’re thinking about two of them, but we’ll see what happens.”
Trump wants to keep the Bills in Buffalo and knows what it means for Western New York.
“I’ve always liked the Bills. … I’ve always thought that Jim Kelly is one of the great, great players in the history of the NFL. You’ve had some fabulous teams, just really a great group of teams and a great group of people. And the Bills should stay in Buffalo.”
Is Donald Trump the right fit for the Bills? There are some questions around him and his normal business practices and vague statements. Personally, I have nothing against Trump and think that he wouldn’t be a bad fit for the Bills. The financial backing that he brings and his relationship with the great Jim Kelly, I think that Trump understands what the Bills mean to WNY and will do what he can to keep them in Buffalo.
