Jim Kelly Finalizes Chemotherapy

With a sign posted on Facebook in the hands of Jim Kelly, Jill Kelly announces that Jim is finally done with Chemotherapy, his second round, for his recurrence of Sinus Cancer that came back last month.  Jill Kelly posted the instagram picture shortly after Jim completed his final round of chemotherapy.  Kelly still has four rounds of radiation to complete his overall therapy at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, but the chemo is done.

Earlier this month, Jim recorded himself on a video message to fans and thanked them for their continued support.

“Keep those prayers coming,” he said a video message earlier this month. “I sure need them. Without you I wouldn’t be able to get through this. God bless you.”

Chemotherapy has taken a strain on Kelly and it shows in Jills picture of Jim after the treatment yesterday.

Kelly has been one player that has pushed for the Bills to succeed both on and off the field.  We now need to continue to support Jim and his fight against cancer.  We hope that this treatment will be his last and he will be able to move on and be cancer free for the remainder of his life.
