As of now, the Buffalo Bills are slated to stay in Buffalo. As a long time Bills fan, I hope that it stays that way as well.
Yesterday, at the spring owners meeting, the word on the street is that the Bills will be tough to move and that any investor or buyer should take into consideration that the team will be staying put.
A source close to the situation of the Bills sale has stated that “Whoever buys (the team) has to be prepared to stay there.”
Tim Graham, of the Buffalo News, has also heard information similar to the above stated.
NFL.com’s Dan Hanzus reported on the situation.
Tim Graham of The Buffalo News has heard similar things. Graham reported Tuesday he’s been told a Toronto-based group interested in buying the Bills is “reconsidering because moving might be too difficult.”
Jon Bon Jovi, reportedly the face of that Toronto-based group, can attest to the roadblocks standing in the way of a move out of Western New York.
This is good news for the Bills and Bills fans alike.
Russ Brandon, although not as open and disclosing as we would like on this situation, especially because he is part of the Workgroup for the new stadium, he has stated that his sole purpose is to keep the team in Western New York. He also stated that a new stadium is a definite but there could be a push back on when one is needed if a full makeup is done on Ralph Wilson Stadium as is was on Arrowhead Stadium.

As of right now, Buffalo is here to stay and with the league behind them and New York State as well, as it is the only New York based team, there is a good chance the Bills stay in WNY and even possibly in Orchard Park for near future.
