I live in Europe, specifically on the west coast of Ireland, but I managed to get a bit of a holiday for the family and we went off to London for a week. Admittedly I love London and visit whenever I can. I think it is a fabulous city and know it would be a great host for an NFL franchise.
The London Olympic Games were brilliant and the city itself has hosted quite a few NFL games, they even had the London Monarchs if you can remember those days. The people love sport whether it is soccer, cricket or American football. Could the Bills be a fit for this town after the lease expires in Erie County? The NFL would love to be a global franchise and expansion into Toronto, London and Mexico City are not too far off.
As much as I hate to admit it, the Buffalo Bills make for a great relocation franchise. Buffalo is the size of Lincoln, Nebraska and any financial wizard knows they can make more money in a bigger locale. Can anyone say “luxury boxes?”
I would love to see the team I have stood behind for 47 years stay in the greater Buffalo area; it seems strange to think otherwise. The reality of money tells a different story and selfishly I would love to see a team in London. What say you Buffalo? Would it be more devastating for the Bills to move out of the country or would it make it more palatable?
