NFL Preseason Schedule Released

In lieu of the anticipation of the NFL schedule being released, which is projected to be next week sometime, and with the recent leaking of two of the possible games for the Buffalo Bills next season to be played on Prime-time Stages; Thanksgiving (Lions) and MNF (Packers), the NFL has released its preseason schedules today.

The Buffalo Bills are scheduled to play in the Hall of Fame game this year against the New York Football Giants on Sunday August  3rd, 2014 at 8:00 pm.

It is apropos the Giants and Bills will play in the game, as each team will see one of its all-time greats enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Wide receiver Andre Reed played 15 of his 16 NFL seasons in Buffalo. Giants defensive end Michael Strahan spent his entire 15-year career with Big Blue. Each player was elected to seven Pro Bowls.

Because of the HOF game, the Bills and Giants will get one more playoff game than the rest of the league and will open training camps earlier as well.

The rest of the schedule will have Buffalo starting on the road against the Carolina Panthers.  Week 2 will have the Bills traveling to Pittsburgh.  Week 3 will have Mike Williams’ former team (Bucs) facing off in Buffalo and week 4 will round out the preseason with a preview of the Thanksgiving Day Game, Detroit coming to Buffalo.
