The Buffalo Bills have their first offensive tackle visiting One Bills Drive today. Who is there you might ask? Is it Taylor Lewan or maybe Jake Matthews, possible Joel Bitonio? It is none of those. The offensive tackle that is speaking with Bills coaches is none other than Charles Siddoway. Yes, Charles Siddoway.
You ask, who is Charles Siddoway? I did as well. Siddoway comes to us from Mississippi State. He was only there for his final two years of collegiate ball. Before Mississippi State, He was at Butte junior college for a year and before that he began his college career at Cal.
While at Cal he only played in 3 games. When Siddoway got to Mississippi State he was able to gain the stating job at right tackle and played there the entire year of 2013, having 25 straight starts stemming from 2012. Siddoway, who is 6’7″ weighing 301 pounds, was part of an offensive line that finished 2nd in the SEC with only allowing 19 sacks.
Siddoway is projected to be a day three draftee and is on the fence as to where he would start. Some believe that he could be an immediate starter at right tackle, but others believe that he would fit better at guard. – BuffaloBills.com
Siddoway is definitely a man that is unknown. After looking for more information through CBS Sports and their draft prospects and NFL.com, he was not even listed. Drafttek.com also did not have anything on him. The only things found were articles written by the HailState.com site, which is the official site of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and an article written by ESPN back on June 26th of 2013 about the Bulldogs and their strong offensive line. The information provided by HailState.com was for Siddoway’s up and coming 2013 season.
Am I surprised? Not one bit, the Buffalo Bills seem to find these talented prospects that only a small group of people hear about and know about.
