Bills Should Pass On DeSean Jackson

Another day and yet again I’m hearing how the Bills continue to be involved in the DeSean Jackson sweepstakes. My question to that is why? The Bills it seems have been accumulating receivers these days in that 6’ window and what has it done for them? When you look around the league the top receivers tend to be 6’2” and up.

When this report first came out I couldn’t believe it. From the people that keep talking about how Mike Evans/Eric Ebron is there guy in the draft to saying oh look Jackson’s available? Just like that the minds of these fans change and it’s on to the next. What could this guy do that the guys on this team couldn’t do already? He does have the better talent no question but once paired against a tall, solid corner it’s not going to be any different in my opinion.

I want this team to go out and get a powerful kid that we could progress with into the future. A guy that will be a force every time he steps on that field and also one that has the secondary always second guessing themselves. To me seeing that EJ seems to be the guy regardless of what happens in the off-season needs all the weapons he can get. A 6’2”-6’5” guy with skill could be just what Manuel needs to relax and finally show what he can do.

So looking forward I hope that this team passes on this guy and focuses on the draft. Get a guy that we could call our own and hopefully build around moving forward.
