As we slowly get closer to the NFL Draft, which will begin on May 8th, lets take a look at what some of the possibilities could be when the Top 5 are on the clock.

On the Clock

#1 – Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are in need of a quarterback, offensive tackle as well as a linebacker. With the first overall pick,the Texans Select;

Blake Bortles – QB.

With Matt Schaub being traded away and the Texans bringing in Ryan Fitzpatrick who will be in a mentoring mode, Bortles will be a good fit for the Texans and the #1 spot.

COMPARES TO: Mix of Andrew Luck (Colts) and Jake Locker (Titans) – Bortles has the arm strength and delivery that is reminiscent of Luck and also the mobility and some of the inconsistencies of Locker. Bortles projects to the NFL somewhere in the middle of those two players.
