Buffalo Bills: Wide Receiver Options

The Buffalo Bills are in need of a wide receiver that can be physical and go down the field and make something happen.  We have looked at the draft as an option for the Bills to bring in that wide reciever that will make an impact.  Mike Evans and Sammy Watkins have been the front runners for rookies in the draft for the Bills.

What about a free agent that has the experience and the possibility to come in and make an immediate impact for Manuel and the Bills? as released the top wide receivers in this years free agent frenzy.  They have listed seven possible options to jump right in and make that impact that the Bills are looking for.

The wide receivers are as follows; Eric Decker, Julian Edelman, Hakeem Nicks, Anquan Bolden, Golden Tate, Jeremy Maclin, and Riley Cooper.

Charley Casserly likes Jeremy Maclin right out of the gates.

“I would take a long, hard look at Jeremy Maclin, despite the fact that he missed the entire 2013 campaign with a torn ACL. In my opinion, Maclin is the best receiver on this list, so why not start there? ”

“My contract offer obviously would factor in his current physical condition, though it’s worth noting that in today’s NFL, players routinely come back and play well after ACL injuries. And Maclin has youth on his side: The 2009 first-round pick turns 26 in May.”

I would have to agree as  Maclin for a choice, especially for the Bills.  He has the size that Buffalo needs and is able to go deep and has shown that he can be a number one wide out.

Another guy that sparks my fancy is Riley Cooper. Cooper is 6-3, so taller than Maclin and was able to pull in 47 receptions for over 800 yards with 8 TDs last  year.  He has the size and the numbers that might help the Bills.

I like either of these guys and if the Bills are able to pull one then the they can look elsewhere rather than the first or second round for a big dominant receiver.

I do not see the need for a big WR as much as a big TE is. Why draft another Rookie WR when we have a bunch of 2nd year WR’s who already have some experience in our offense? A rookie TE has less concern in getting the time needed to perform at a high level that is Bills football. Ebron is the TE I’m talking about. I am really high on him for our Bills team!! GO BILLS!!

I completely agree! I’m no offensive guru and don’t know what the plans are but Ebron kills 2 birds with one stone.
