Buffalo Bills: Off-season Schedule

We are at a time where football is not being played, unless it is on a gaming system.  Football, playing-wise is in a type of hibernation.  While football is not being played, this is the time for the front offices to continue and make some magic happen.

With the Super Bowl over, here are some important dates during the next couple of months before the kickoff for the 2014 – ’15 season.

February 3 — Waiver system begins for 2014.

February 8th – Begins a series of Regional and Scouting combines.  12 in all, ranging from this date until April 12-13 which is the Super Regional Combine.

February 17th – First date to designate Franchise Tags and Transition Tags.  Deadline March 3rd.

March 8 — Clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2013 Player Contracts at 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 11. However, a contract cannot be executed with a new club until 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 11.

March 11 — Free Agency begins.

May 8-10 — 2014 NFL Draft, New York City, New York.

Mid – July - Clubs are able to begin off-season workouts and camps for rookies and first year players.  These players report 7 days prior to the mandatory camp dates.

July 22nd - Signing period ends for unrestricted free agents with a tender offer before June 1st, as well as Transition Players.

September 4, 7-8 — Kickoff Weekend 2014
