Keep An Eye On Jordan Matthews

As everyone knows by now the Bills will select a wide receiver in this year’s draft but has a new name joined in the discussion? Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins and Marquise Lee have all been projected to go in the 1st round and early at that but what about Jordan Matthews?

Matthews playing is college ball at Vanderbilt is a big target and could be a great fit for the Bills. There have been great reviews from his play this past week and because of it his draft stock may go up. Progressing every year in both receptions and yards he showed he was a reliable target. His career numbers look like this: 262 receptions, 3759 yards and 24 touchdowns. As talked about earlier he was projected to go in the 2nd round but may now creep into the bottom half of the 1st round. Does something like that allow that Bills to trade down?

His size permits him to play in different areas of the field and to make the big play. Jordan’s hand-eye coordination is said to be one of his strong points along with his skill and vision of the game making him a tough cover for the opposition. His speed isn’t electric but nonetheless it is viable for what the Bills I believe would use him for.

More coverage and looks at other players will be coming but looking at Matthews he should be a guy to keep an eye on if the Bills look to trade down. If the Bills go defense with their pick I wouldn’t hate the idea of them trading back up to get Jordan. Don’t forget about this guy.
