Division Round 2014 Playoffs: Announcers and TV Coverage

One week is down and we move to the divisional playoff round.  Four teams have had their fates decided for them and four more will face the same fate this coming weekend.

As for the games this coming week, Saturday January 11th will feature the New Orleans Saints taking on the Seattle Seahawks at 4:30 pm.  The announcers for this game will be Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch.  This game will be shown on Fox.

The late game, at 8 pm on Saturday will be the Indianapolis Colts taking on the New England Patriots.  The announcers for this game will be Greg Gumble and Dan Dierdorf.  This game will be televised on CBS.

For the games on Sunday, the early game which will be played at 1 pm will be the San Fransisco 49ers versus the Carolina Panthers.  This game will be shown on the Fox network and will feature Joe Buck and Troy Aikman as the announcers.

The final game for the weekend will feature an AFC contest, the San Diego Chargers will take on the Denver Broncos at 4:30 om on CBS.  The announcers for the game will be Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.

Of the four games that are being played, they all look to be pretty good match-ups and should be good games.  The one that I will be keeping an eye on is the Colts/Patriots game.  The Patriots are the only AFC East team that are still in it and I would love to see Tom Brady and the Patriots end their season earlier than they are expecting.  Consider it a late Christmas present if they lose.  Let’s go Colts!
