What To Do With Marcell Dareus

Before this year started many fans especially in Buffalo were ready to label Marcell Dareus as a bust. Drafted 3rd overall back in 2011 it seemed like he never really got settled in and looked out of place at times. Being invisible that wasn’t something a coaching staff wanted to see from a guy they invested so high in.

Last year he basically got a pass with some because of a family tragedy. Hard to deal with at any time but during the season caused mix emotions I’m sure with Marcell. Not missing a game was his choice but no question that thought never left his mind.

This year was totally different in the stats and gameplay department from Dareus but it came with some question. No doubt having his best season but in the end it could also end up being his last with the Bills. A few weeks back he was benched for the 1st quarter due to being late for team meetings. After hearing that I remember a lot of people saying hey that happens from time to time but I guess not when it comes to Marcell. The last week of the season everyone had seen him sitting out now a half for tardiness again. After the reports came out about the first lapse you would think he would get to his meetings on time and early for that matter.

With the Buffalo Bills revamping their coaching staff last season it has been said accountability is very big. You have to put in everything you have be a part of this team and good things will happen but what if everybody isn’t on board? This will be a hot topic this offseason as I’m positive it will be addressed.
