Buffalo Bills Playoff Possibilities

With the Buffalo Bills having the best possible record being an 8-8 record the playoffs are further than they have been so far this year.  Although the surprising thing for the Bills is they are still mathematically in the race for the playoffs and might just make it at 8-8.  This possibility, I know, is far from likely and probably won’t happen but it is still interesting to watch.

Overall, the Bills will need help from just about every team in the AFC at some point.  Right now, the Bills will need the Dolphins and the Ravens to lose three of their next four games.  They will also need help from the Jets, Steelers, and Titans to lose two of their next four.

If this all happens, then the Bills could have the 6th wildcard spot outright at 8-8.  The Bills do have a head to head tie breaker advantage over the Ravens and the Dolphins at this point so winning outright is not necessary but will feel so much better with an outright win.

If the Dolphins, Ravens and Steelers all finished at 7-9 along with the Bills, Buffalo will still make the playoffs at 7-9 as long as the Titans finish with a worse record than 7-9.  If the Titans finish with a 7-9 record then the Ravens will take the 6t playoff spot.

So there is still hope but that hope is fading.
