Week 10 is upon us and the Buffalo Bills have good news coming out of One Bills Drive. Thad is back at practice and seems to be healthy again after his week 8 pounding that gave him bruised ribs and left him out for the week 9 match-up against the Chiefs.
Bigger news is that EJ Manuel is back and had his first full practice in almost 5 weeks.
So the question is who should start week 10? Manuel or Lewis? Does Marrone err on the side of caution and let Lewis start or does he take a chance and play Manuel?
“We had both quarterbacks taking snaps,” said Marrone in reference to Manuel and Thad Lewis, who also returned from injury Wednesday. “I feel good. Both guys have been out for a while so there’s a little bit of rust that they’re working through. I’m just going to keep it going during the week and I think that we’ll see where we go as far as who the starter is.”
Manuel stated that he felt like he was ready and could got his Sunday.
“It felt pretty good,” he said. “I was able to get out there and get with the ones on a lot of reps. It felt good overall. I definitely feel like I can go. That’s still up to coach Marrone as far as what we do as a team, but I definitely feel confident going into Sunday.”
If you were the coach, who would you start?
