As the Bills get ready to take on the Chiefs it looks like they will have another QB stepping in to make the start. The report coming from Jason La Canfora of CBS says Jeff Tuel will get the start.
If this report is true I can’t see the Bills really moving the ball. Tuel who had come in to backup Manuel after the injury in Cleveland was terrible. I understand that he didn’t have the reps and should have been more prepared but he looked like he didn’t even belong on the field. Another thing looking back at his gameplay is the up tempo game will be gone for today. I’ve seen nothing to show Tuel will run that type of offense but yet a more relaxed offense that we’ve seen in the past. Kansas City’s defense will to be waiting and smiling hearing the news that there going after a first time starter.
Something I would like to ask this coaching staff is what they are thinking. Why would Jeff ever come anywhere close to the field in a regular season game? In no way shape or form is he ready and also now you’re going to have to change your game. It looks like a heavy dose of the run game and we can just hope he hits a few passes to move the chains or its going to be a real long afternoon for the Bills defense and the fans. A question that I will always think about is why didn’t this team continue to look for a veteran QB after Kolb went down? I understand that you’re not going to get anyone great but that presence and someone knowing the game goes a long way in my opinion as this young team processes.
So if this stays true what are your thoughts? Do you feel we can win with Tuel? I’m not sure he’s ready at all but I’ll hope for the best.
