Game: Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills
Date/Time: Sunday October 13, 2013 at 1:00PM ET
Location: Ralph Wilson Stadium, Buffalo, New York
Game Line: Bengals favored by 7.5 points
On offense, the Bills have Thad Lewis starting at QB due to EJ Manuel getting injured. Steve Johnson is not practicing, and is questionable for the game. CJ Spiller is limited and is also questionable. The three best offensive players for the Bills are injured. That is never good. Facing a good Cincinnati defense, expect an offensive struggle. It is on Fred Jackson to keep up his good work, and carry this team. I think Jackson and Spiller will do decent on the ground. Doug Marrone will most likely run the ball more due to the QB change. If the Bengals can shut down Tom Brady, imagine what they well do to the Duke graduate, Thad Lewis. Expect to see a lot of the punter on Sunday.
On the defensive side of the ball, Jarius Byrd is returning from injury. He could be a little rusty, but a player of his caliber will do just fine. Byrd will greatly improve the secondary. Kiko Alonso will most likely keep up the D.R.O.Y pace, and shut down the run. However, the Bengals will eventually score points on the questionable pass defense even with Byrd. However, if the Bills defensive line can get pressure on Andy Dalton, the Bills defense will do great. The games the defense has gotten to the QB, the Bills have won. I think they will get pressure, but…
The Bills will lose this game 24-13. The Bills offense will not do enough to make this a game. Expect some turnovers from the Bills, thus giving the Bengals good field position. The game would be much different, if EJ Manuel was not out. Maybe Thad Lewis has some magic, but I do not see that happening.
