Shortly after the Buffalo Bills fell to the Cleveland Browns, the Bills released punter Shawn Powell.
In Powell’s last two games, he has netted a sub-par average of just 30 yards. He has had miss hits and directional issues in the past two games as well against both the Ravens and the Browns.
Some of these issues could have been cause for the big returned that the Browns were able to pull off on Thursday night but there also is a concern for coverage issues as well.
The Buffalo Bills may look to bring back the training camp competitor of Powell, Brian Stahovich who is currently a free agent.
Also, on the free agent list is a familiar face for Buffalo, Brian Moorman. He has been cut by a couple of teams but does have a major positive on his side. He knows the organization and he knows the Bills stadium and the wind issues. Why not bring Moorman back and let him finish his career in Buffalo?
So far there has not been any mention the direction the Bills will go at this point but there should be a decision soon.
