This week’s game against the New York Jets will tell us a lot about where this 2013 Buffalo Bills team is heading.
If EJ Manuel can build on his final drive of last weeks game while returning to the turnover numbers from week one, then this team should steam roll right over the Jets.
If we see the turnovers from EJ that we saw in the second half of last weeks game then this could be a difficult game to watch. You can only get away with losing the turnover battle while still winning the game a few times. The vast majority of the time the team that wins the turnover battle will win the game.
It will be interesting to see if the Bills defense can put up the same kind of numbers again this week. If Super Mario plays the same way he did last week then Geno Smith will be in for a long game.
A lot of pundits are billing this game as the match-up between the first two quarterbacks taken in this years draft, but I see this game coming down to which defense will dominate.
It is also my firm belief that the Bills defense will come through with an even stronger game against the Jets than what they showed against Carolina. EJ Manuel and Doug Marrone will get their first road wins, especially if they finally have Jairus Byrd playing for the first time this year.
My call for this game is Bills 24 Jets 10.
What’s your call?
