Yes, it looks like a long shot, but it’s a new Buffalo Bills season and anything could happen. Maybe even beating the New England Patriots in week 1 of NFL action? I’ll quit day dreaming and return to planet earth. There’s no question that Brady and the Patriot’s have Buffalo’s number. However, it’s a pair of much needed debuts: A new head coach in Doug Marone and a new starting quarterback in rookie E.J. Manuel.
I hate to toot my own horn, but I stated on previous podcasts that even when Manuel was taken out of pre-season, he would still start week one. Praise the heavens above because the odds of an upset were considerably less with undrafted rookie quarterback Jeff Tuel, who only won 4 out of 26 games in college.
This week on the podcast myself, Sean, and Mark Eichkorn look at some of the match ups with the Patriots. Is Byrd and his agent just trying to make some noise? How thin is Buffalo’s offensive line? What about recent additions to Buffalo’s kicking game?
We’ll be cheering on the Bills this weekend at Duff’s in Southlake, Texas of all places. Yes, the odds of pulling an upset against the almost always mighty Patriots are slim, but sometimes you just have to BILLEVE.
