After this past draft took place like any other draft free agents are then signed to teams. This year it was arguably said the Bills got the best in that department when they signed Da’ Rick Rogers. Rogers at once was said to have 2nd round draft value but dropped along the way because of his off field issues.
Once camp started the Bills had a lot of people taking a look at this kid as many thought he could have been a threat on this team. The skills he showed he was capable of made many wonder what if we got a steal and could produce at a high level.
The only problem especially that I saw at camp was he just doesn’t seem ready for the NFL. He has all the talent in the world but when it comes to the mental aspect he has a long way to go. Not being on the field when it was his turn in drills and lining up on the wrong side of the field are some of the lapses he had while at camp.
When the preseason came around it was pretty obvious that he just wasn’t in the Bills plans. Limited playing time and basically had no role with the team lead to his release.
Since then he has been picked up and will be on the Colts practice Squad. For the Colts it’s a low risk signing and potentially could have a very good wide receiver down the road if Rogers wants to take his career seriously.
