Bills Sign Dan Carpenter

With the report coming this evening the Bills continue to stay active in the signing department. Buffalo is expected to sign kicker Dan Carpenter. It wasn’t that long ago Dustin Hopkins won the job over Lindell and he was then released.

Dan has been in the league for a little while now and has just over 50 games under his belt. He is a 72% kicker with a long of 54 yards. Recently a member of the Cardinals and the NYJ for a very short period of time he makes his way to a team gearing up to play the Pats.

Reports coming that Hopkins suffered a groin injury today and led to Carpenter becoming the teams 53rd man to complete the roster.

What does this mean for that last spot the Bills had to use to sign a player? For sure they didn’t want to use it on a kicker. Does someone that thought they were safe now worry they could be let go? Unsure of the severity of the injury but this may keep Carpenter on the roster for a while.

Im sure we’ll hear more soon but it definitely will be interesting to see what this team does during the week. I don’t think there done by any means in the transactions department.
