As we saw yesterday, Rogers and 4 others were released. Today marks the beginning for the end for some. Today, August 27th, the Buffalo Bills and every other NFL team have to get their rosters down to 75.
Buffalo came into the preseason having 89 players on their roster. We have seen Lindell go as well as Ellis, Rogers, Sampson, Rolle, and Turnley. With these moves, trading White for Lewis and signing Leinart, the Bills are at a roster size of 76. Having to be down to 75 by today, we can see at least 1 more player being released today.
Within only a couple of days, the Rosters have to be down to the 53 man squad. This has to be down by 4 pm on Saturday the 31st.
The Bills final preseason game will be played against the Lions on Thursday the 29th and is Blacked Out locally.
September 1st marks the day that the practice squads have to be finalized as well.
This is a big week for the coaches and the players that are on the bubble. We will most likely not see any of the starters in this game, so it will be a good chance to see that undrafted guy you have been watching all camp long.
