Coming off a lose, the Buffalo Bills look to make changes to correct the mistakes that were mad against the Redskins. Although the changes that are being made today were not the result of the loss against the Redskins but due to the injuries that the Buffalo Bills have incurred over the last week.
Buffalo lost their second quarterback in a week to injury. Kevin Kolb left yesterdays game due to concussion-like symptoms. With Jeff Tuel the only healthy quarterback, Marrone saw it as a necessity to bring in not just one but two other quarterbacks. Veteran QB, Matt Leinart, was signed earlier today to fill a very vacant hole at quarterback. Marrone and the Bills also made a trade with the Detroit Lions and brought in Thaddeus Lewis, QB, for OLB Chris White.
Bringing two more QBs, I don’t think will create a QB competition. I still believe that Manuel is the starter when he returns and Tuel is doing a fine job stepping in at this point to make a solid #2. I think this shows that Kevin Kolb is done as a Buffalo Bill and Tuel has shown that he can play. With Leinart and Lewis fighting it out until Manuel gets back, I believe that the Bills will only keep 3 on their roster so one will be gone by the end of the preseason. Whoever it is that stays, they will be a stopgap as the 3rd string QB. Just insurance at this point.
