The most important competition for the Buffalo Bills

OK, so the kicker competition may not be the biggest story coming out of the Bills camp.
Everyone knows that the big competition is for the Quarterback spot. Sure you could argue that the corner back competition could be exciting, you could even cheer for one of the guards for the left guard spot, but why doesn’t anyone ever want to know about the kickers.
These guys gave up careers as semi-pro soccer players or even Australian Rules Football stars for this opportunity and nobody gives them the time of day.
How can you get a better story than a grizzled veteran being taken on by an upstart sixth round draft choice.
Lindell vs Hopkins. That’s the battle we all need to be watching.
Seriously, field goals missed (or not even tried for) can be the difference in 5 or 6 games a year. They can be the difference between making the playoffs and picking in the top 10 of the draft.
Winning close games is the difference between good football teams and not so good football teams and a good kicker who can hit the long field goals at the end of a game can play a huge role in winning these games.
Rian Lindell will always have a place in my heart for what he has done for the Bills these many years past, but I believe it is time for some new blood. Dustin Hopkins needs to win this competition so that the Bills can move forward.
Thank you Rian for all you have done. Time to move on to soccer or Aussie Rules. Careful though, they are both tough sports.
What’s your thoughts on the biggest competition the Bills have going?

Hopkins, to me, seems a little bit less accurate, but much more powerful. What it comes down to is what are you willing to sacrafice on, if you want powered go with Hopkins, but if you want accuracy then go with Lindell.
