The Bills and Colts are the lone game today, so it is a good shot for the Bills to show that they are a team that should be watched on Prime Time. All eyes are on them.
Kevin Kolb is still not up to where he would like to be at this point after slipping on the rubber mat at practice. Manuel has been named the starter for the game so it will be a good intro to what He can do. Kolb is a game time decision at this point.
“I think we all know that Kevin has been gone for a couple of days and coming off an injury and we’re just working him back in and we’re going to dress him for the game, but EJ will start the game,” said Marrone. “He is going to dress and he is going to be there and knock on wood if we do need one we’ll put him in there and he’ll just be handing the ball off and not put him in jeopardy.”
Marrone does not have a set amount of time for any player to play. Injuries occur and you never know when you might have to go back in. Some guys might get the entire game others may only get a quarter. Again, New Staff, New Philosophy.
Chandler, Kyle Williams and Mario Williams will be limited on the amount of snaps they get as they are still recovering form lingering injuries and surgeries.
McKelvin and Brad Smith will not be participating in today’s game. Also out of today’s game will be Kevin Elliot, Stevie Johnson, Mike Caussin, Justin Rogers, and Aaron Tipoti.
As for the Colts, the new offensive coordinator is promoting a power offensive running game where a two TE attack is going to help take some of the pressure off of 2nd year man Andrew Luck.
Notables for the Colts that will not play due to injury are TE Dwyane Allen, Darius Heyward Bey, LaRon Landry, and Jarrell Freeman.
Look for my Buffalo Nickel Awards and Wide-Right Awards After the Game.
