Mana Silva Bolts From Buffalo Bills Training Camp.

Mana Silva who was vying for a safety job in Buffalo decided to leave training camp without telling coach Doug Marrone. In a story that hit major media outlets such as NBC Sports and Fox News there have been far more questions than answers. Mana’s agent Josh Arnold  told the Associated Press that his client is re-examining his priorities after experiencing some recent personal issues, and that he expects Silva to be playing football again sometime soon.

When you closely examine the situation it is very troubling to grasp what exactly happened here. Just a day before the move Silva was listed 2nd on the depth chart at the strong safety position. After spending the last 2 season’s on the Bills practice squad, and after finally climbing up the depth chart its hard to believe he would just up and walk away. Was competition so fierce that he saw him losing out in the end? Was Pettine’s aggressive and hard working approach too much for him to take?

Normally I wouldn’t ask such questions but the one thing that makes it impossible not to is the fact that he left without explaining to his coach. Coach Doug Marrone is still unable to explain why he left camp, but I’m sure he has a good feeling about why it happened. Marrone even said “I would like the players to come to me and say hey I got this going on, can I be excused?  and you know 99% of the time I’ll be like yeah lets clear that up, lets move on and go”

If Mana Silva had a truly concerning personal issue I don’t think he would of ducked out the back door without talking to his team about it. So for that very reason I can not support Mana Silva’s decision to flee from our team. Its not always an easy thing to explain your personal issues, but when a team and a community depend on you, that is just very classless and selfish behavior. I wish you the best of luck Mana Silva and I hope you get your personal issues resolved,  just don’t come back here because this team doesn’t have time for selfishness. What do you fans think, Was Mana right to leave the team without explaining why?

Was Mana Silva right to leave camp the way he did?
