When teams draft rookies they look at which ones will make an immediate impact as well as ones that will be more of a depth chart choice. For the Bills it seems as though rookies almost need to make an immediate impact with the amount of holes they seem to have almost every year and this year seems to be no different.
Rookies in some cases need to make an immediate impact on some teams and on others they don’t. It depends on the depth of that position and team. Every rookie wants to make an impact though. In the Buffalo Bills case, it is the more of an impact that needs to take place. Kiko Alonso, LB, will be the favorite to start at middle linebacker with the Bills trading Kelvin Sheppard in the off-season for Jerry Hughes. He will be one to keep an eye on and will have to step up to help out a struggling defense. The other rookies that will needs to step it up will need to be E.J.Manuel, Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin, and Da’Rick Rogers. These 4 guys can bring potency to the offense if they are all working together and using their abilities and their strengths to the max. This is something that the Bill have lacked in the past couple of years and it will be exciting to see the engine running on all cylinders.
