The Bills have a tough schedule this year. They play the NFC South and the AFC North divisions this year. This will pose a challenge as they are not the easiest divisions in the league. They also have to play the Pats, which look like bookends on their schedule. But this is nothing new. I would rather the Bills play tougher teams as they seem to show up for those games and the easier teams they tend to take a vacation.
Looking at their schedule, I believe that the Bills will go 3-3 in the division, which is better than normal. The Bills will beat that Panthers and lose to the Ravens in weeks 2 and 4 respectively. They should be the Browns and the Bengals as well. This will put the Bills at a 6-4 record with the division games already figured in. I like them to beat the Chiefs and Jags this year as well. I think they lose to the Steelers, Falcons and the Saints. This is will put them at 8-7 so far. The Bucs game is the wildcard game that could go either way. So, they will basically split the season and with the wildcard game, you could be looking at an 8-8 or 9-7 season.
More realistically though, I think it would be safe to predict that any where between a 7-9 and a 9-7 season would be in store for the Buffalo Bills this year. It is an improvement on the last two years and something to build on. Playoff? Not this year, they would need at least 10 wins. There schedule is just too tough. They would have to pull out wins in either NE, Pitt, Atl, or NO to make 10 wins this year. Next year they contend for the playoffs.
