With the fantasy leagues opening up this past month, and the beginning of the competition talk for most of the positions, it is a good time to look at the fantasy options the Buffalo Bills provide and don’t for Fantasy owners.
QB – With E.J. Manuel and Kevin Kolb fronting the race for QB and the Bills, E.J. Manuel might be the only one worth looking at and that is hoping that he has a Russell Wilson type year. This would be the only way that I or anyone should even look at a Buffalo Bills QB this year. Unless you, like the Bills, are plagued with injuries and Manuel or Kolb is producing average numbers. Fitz even made some teams last year and still put up sub par numbers.
RB – This is going to be again, a tough choice for some people, CJ Spiller, with his explosiveness and versatility is going to be one of the top backs, in my opinion, that will be taken in drafts. Look for Spiller to go somewhere in the mid 3 to 4 round as a second running back on most teams. Jackson could be a steal in a later round as a back-up RB and still be putting up somewhere in the 8-12 point range. Deeper Leagues will definitely see Jackson go. Only issue is going to be injuries with him.
WR – Stevie Johnson is the only one coming in from last year that I would consider a definite for Fantasy owners. Johnson will be targeted a lot being the only true veteran on the team. Johnson, although not one of the elite WR for fantasy, look for him to put upwards of 10-12 points a week. The Bills did go out and get rookies Goodwin and Woods that could make an impact and in deep leagues I would look at one or both of these guys as a bye week filler.
