Buffalo Bills CB compeition pt2

Moving on to the second part looking at the CB/DB players on the roster and determining who might make the team and where they may play.

Kip Edwards is another undrafted free agent that signed with the Buffalo Bills and will be in the market to prove himself.  He comes to the Bills from Missouri.  He was a two year starter for the Tigers and started all the games in his senior year.  He runs a 4.56 40 yd dash.

Dominique Ellis “signed by Buffalo Jan. 16, 2013. Ellis entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012 and was released prior to the regular season. The 5-11, 195-pound defensive back was a two-time All-MEAC selection at South Carolina State where he made 65 tackles and three interceptions in 2011. Ellis transferred to South Carolina State after appearing in 13 games at North Carolina State in his 2008 freshman campaign”. (Info taken from

Stephon Gilmore started all the games last year for the Bills.  He finished with 61 tackles, 16 pass deflections and 1 interceptions.  As of right now, he is the only guaranteed player and starter barring injury during training camp.

T.J Heath has two years experience coming into the league as undrafted free agents via the Jags.  He signed with Buffalo last year after being released by the Bengals and clearing waivers.  He played in 0 games this past year.
