Buffalo Bills' CB situation

We mentioned yesterday that we are going to take a look at the CB situation and begin to break it down, looking to see who might make the team at the end of training camp.

To start, there are 13 total CB/DBs listed on the roster at this point.  Leodis McKelvin is the oldest and veteran player on the list being in the league for 6 years.  The next most veteran players would be Butler and Rogers being in the league for 3 years.  Gilmore, at 2 years is the most competent at the position.  Buffalo has a very young CB/DB crew going into training camp.

There are still individuals that would provide depth to the CB/DB position and also bring the veteran experience that the Bills may need in the long run or when injuries occurs.  The top 7 CBs still available are as follows:

Jason Allen – Cincinnati
Chris Gamble – Carolina
Cedric Griffin – Washington
Rashean Mathis – Jacksonville
Terrence McGee – Buffalo
Stanford Routt – Houston
Shawntae Spencer – Oakland (hurt in 2012)

Yes, one is McGee who Buffalo let go earlier this year.  I would keep it out of a far possibility that he is brought back if there is substantial injuries during training camp or if guys just are not panning out.  There are also a couple of others guys on that list that intrigue me as well to bring some knowledge and depth into the back 7 for the Buffalo Bills and help lead them and develop the younger players.
