Scott Chandler torn his ACL back in December against the Miami Dolphins. I remember thinking “well at least we don’t have a TE now. It has been five months since the injury and four months since his surgery. Things are beginning to look up for both the Buffalo Bills and Scott Chandler.
Chandler is back on his feet and working out. He is not yet with the team but is working out running routes and getting back into game day shape. He is catching passes from Jeff Tuel, the undrafted free agent.
Chandler is optimistic and is hoping to be back on the field in game ready shape by the start of training camp so that he is able to get the timing down with the quarterbacks.
“I feel it’s realistic,” Chandler said. “It’s kind of what I expected. Honestly I just wanted to be ready to go when training camp and the season came around. I’m not a guy who is going to sit there and hope that it gets better. I’m going to be proactive.
For the Buffalo Bills, a need has been the TE position. With what Chandler has been able to do in the past two years, this is a person we need back in the line-up.
