The Buffalo Bills finished out the day strong drafting quality along with quantity figuring that they went into the draft with only 6 picks and finished with 7.

There were some good picks and deals made that helped the Buffalo Bills along the way.  I haven’t seen a draft like this in a long time where I was happy with every pick and didn’t wonder why did we just draft him?

The Bills took a Kicker out of Florida State, Dustin Hopkins with their 6th pick.  With the all accurate Rian Lindell behind the helm of kicker, and the accuracy beginning to wain on the aging kicker, I think this is a good pick to have just in case Lindell does happen to get injured again.  Hey you never know because the Bills did have 2 kickers at the start of the season and if this kids has a stronger leg than Lindell, which in my opinion is not hard to achieve, then we may see a new 3 pointer for the Bills.

As for the 7th round pick for the Bills at the 222nd spot, they picked up a TE/H-back.  This pick is a good one for depth as well as a possible relieve for Chandler.  With Chandler coming off of an injury this past year, and the versatility an H-Back can provide the Bills, both in the backfield as well as at TE or in the slot, this just adds another depth to the offensive scheme that Marrone and staff are going to be putting together.
